Choo Choo Park

Choo Choo Park, located at 43 Belvedere Road, is a family‑friendly public playground in Claremont centered around a historic 0‑4‑0 saddle‑tank steam locomotive named “Dyna‑Mo,” built in 1896 and restored by community volunteers. Originally from Transvaal & Delagoa Bay Collieries and later used at Cape Town’s power stations, the engine was placed in the park in the 1960s.
