Herold Wines is a boutique family-run wine farm located along the historic Montagu Pass near the small village of Herold outside George in the Western Cape. Set on the scenic slopes of the Outeniqua Mountains, the vineyard offers a peaceful countryside escape with breathtaking mountain views and a relaxed farm atmosphere.
The vineyard lies on the north-facing slopes of Cradock Peak, where the high altitude, cool mountain breezes, winter frosts, and regular mist create ideal conditions for slow grape ripening and distinctive wines. These unique growing conditions give the wines their characteristic flavour and complexity. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings and intimate cellar tours in the working cellar, where guests often have the chance to see the winemaking process up close.
