Warrington Place (Art, Law, Retail, Coffee, Hospitality), Harbour Road, Hermanus, South Africa
As the home gallery and working studio of Edward "Ed" Bredenkamp, Lembu is renowned for his dramatic Red Elephant paintings and other wildlife artworks in oils, linocuts, and etchings.
The gallery also features works from talented local artists such as Elise Macdonald (surrealist paintings), Catherine Brennon (ceramic “Dream Boxes”), and other sculptors, photographers, and craft makers.
A special highlight is Lembu’s hand-printed fabric line—table runners, wall hangings, cushion covers—all created in the adjacent studio using custom carved printing blocks. Visitors are welcome to witness the printing process firsthand.
Located right in Hermanus's Art Alley, Lembu participates in the popular First Fridays ArtWalk, staying open late to welcome gallery-goers to enjoy art after hours.
