Segway Tours at Spier Wine Farm (R310, Baden Powell Drive, Stellenbosch) provide an exhilarating way to explore the vineyard and farm landscapes on electric Segway PTs.

What to Expect:

• Begin with a 20-minute training session and obstacle course to ensure confidence in riding before hitting the trails.
• Tours glide through farm terrain, vineyard blocks, the Protea Garden, and past Spier’s eco-features like the water recycling plant.
• 1-hour tour: covers core farm areas, vineyards, and insights into Spier’s farming practices.
• 2-hour tour / vineyard glide: goes deeper into the vineyard terrain, with stops and a complimentary wine tasting at the end.
• Sunset / evening tours: some options include wine per pair, and allow participants to enjoy vineyard ambience at dusk.

Details & Practical Info:

• Age/Weight limits: 10+ years for the shorter tours; for the longer vineyard tour, minimum age often 12. Weight max ~ 120 kg.
• Not suitable: for pregnant guests or those with certain limb/back/neck injuries.
